Pruitt just squashed that. Kudos to both he and Sapp.

It appears they met, it's done and everyone moves on

What's done? Is he off the team or not?

To hell with the riddles, I need someone to speak plainly. I interpret that to mean he gone.

I imagine Pruitt understands that something was miscommunicated and they discussed what Sapp did wrong.

I think that means Sapp came forward, owned his [uck fay]up like a man not just to the coaches but also the team and Pruitt is allowing him to remain on the team due to his good representation of the school in academics and as a recruiter.

Point is, Pruitt probably understands he needs to win over this lockerroom. They have to believe in him and the staff just as much as themselves and kicking off a kid for an emotional outburst that he owned up to is not a good way to foster trust coming out of a historic loss to Florida and going into that Oct Schedule.

He also understands Sapp is a high-profile recruit (4*) from the ATL area... an area he'll want Sapp to continue to assist in recruiting as it's just as much a player-player development now as it is coach-player.

Glad it got handled. Now let's see if Sapp can lend us a [uck fay]ing hand!

Pruitt should have simply said, "It's an internal issue we're dealing with" when asked about it the other night. Live and learn....

Yeah, if this is the worst thing he can do, we're looking good.

This is good news. Was a bad look, all around.

But, if Pruitt thought that a guy refused to go in, he absolutely made the right call in immediately ordering him off the sidelines.

Hopefully, this decision will aid Pruitt’s persona in the locker room.

    Respectfully disagree.

If you’re the head guy and there is any doubt that any player refused any direction from any coach - they’re gone, right then.

I’ll promise you this, Sapp is the last person who will allow there to be any doubt as to their willingness to follow in-game instruction.

I think he was referencing Pruitt addressing it in the press conference.

Meh. He was very complimentary of Sapp and I believe he wanted to make a point.
