His take on recruiting defensive backs:

“The guys that pick off a lot of passes on Friday nights pick off a lot on Saturday,” Pruitt said. “If they pick the ball off on Saturday then they pick them off on Sunday. I have never seen a defensive back that didn’t pick passes off on Friday all the sudden pick them off on Sunday.”

 

Wasn't there a decent NFL safety that played QB in college not too long ago?

 

I can't remember one recently but Scott Frost hung around the league a long time

 

Kam Chancellor but he mostly, or exclusively, played DB in college. He was the most hyped "converted QB" I remember.

 

Wasnt pro bowl, but had a solid career.
