I had emergency surgery (that I've been putting off for years) on an incarcerated hernia. I've earned myself a liquid diet through Christmas.

1. Get your hernias fixed before they have to gut you like a fish.
2. Feel free to post your best rib roast in a blender recipes ITT.

Hope you recover soon. Had an umbilical hernia repair back around '93. They cut me open, but I was back at practice coaching football the next morning. I was young and stupid back then.

Incarcerated hernia (via Mayo):
"If the contents of the hernia become trapped in the weak point in the abdominal wall, it can obstruct the bowel, leading to severe pain, nausea, vomiting, and the inability to have a bowel movement or pass gas. Strangulation. An incarcerated hernia can cut off blood flow to part of your intestine."
