But how much does that really matter when they played us and LSU to the final play on the road? There’s no question they have the ability to beat a top 20 team at a neutral site.

Oregon coach going for it with a lead from his own 29. He’s done that a couple times this year.

Oregon going for it on 4th in their own territory in the fourth quarter has blown up in their faces twice in a couple of weeks now.

If it’s a “find the best teams,” it doesn’t matter much. If it’s “find the most deserving,” I feel like taking a team with no good wins because they have a couple close losses to non-playoff teams is a tough sell.

perhaps not, but losing by 3 scores on your home field ought to be an instant eliminator from playoff contention.

We would have jumped OSU easily after their performance today at home.

I get it. Based on how they lost to us and LSU, they’re probably undefeated if they get those games at home.

I don’t necessarily agree, but the case is there.

David Shaw resigns. Five years ago he could have had any college or pro job that he wanted.

    1. I wonder if he takes a year or 2 off and then gets back on the sideline.

    2. Good luck finding someone to take that job given their approach to football.

There’s always way more good coaches than good schools.

Stanford’s administration seems like they hate football and they’re just stuck with it.

This came out of nowhere. I assumed Leonhard was a lock to get the full time gig.

Not gonna lie, I had to go back and check the Pac-12 tiebreakers to figure out how Utah made the title game despite going 0-1 against the other two teams in the tie.
