Fascinating. The 40 Watt club got its moniker by the drummer of Pylon, Curtis Crow, when they played there. I've never been there but they say there was only a single light bulb in the whole place?

You should watch Inside Out from around 1987. It's a great documentary of the Athens music scene.

The 40 watt has been in at least four or five different locations... Inside Out is pretty good and if you can find a copy of Party Out of Bounds, pick it up. You won't be sorry...

Late 60's early 70's band. They're back together now. Considered one of the forefathers of what became Punk in the mid 70's and, like REM, they're a band you'll either really like or really dislike. Not much middle ground.

I love REM but c'mon. College rock? Lol. How about the actual mating of a songbird and an angel from Heaven captured for just a moment, now so sacred and precious?

I love this song. But I don't love them as a whole. I haven't listened to all their stuff, though.

    Automatic is a solid album.

Hope off of Up is their most underrated song.
