It seems the logical thing would be for Wes to report what it was about, if he's so certain that it wasn't money.

4.7 million is what I heard. could we have done better with that than Rick?

Hard to pry away a successful coach. I will say that.

At the same time. Don’t let Grant Williams’s and Admiral Schofield’s recruiting ratings fool you. They’ll be hard to replace. I think it is fair t say that Barnes got a little lucky with them. Grant, because he is a top 3 player in America. Admiral because of his leadership

Never thought I’d see the basketball coach make more than the football coach at the University of Tennessee

We're overpaying, but I think it's the right thing for the program.

I would have made a few calls if I was Phil with that kind of money on some big names though.

either we are just ahead of the pay curve or we bought a couple more years towards building a top roster. it isn't overpaying when he still isn't top in the conference and we would be paying anyone that in a couple years anyway.

there's less value in losing him at this moment.

I would have to think that this wont last long, especially if we have a decent year this coming year.

My thoughts exactly. As soon as the team gets back from whatever bowl game we’re about to win Pruitt will be getting G’d up appropriately.

Who would have thought Phillip Fulmer would be the AD to pay the basketball coach more than football.

Fulmer has been an A+ athletic director

He is an AD who can't be questioned on that by boosters or board. it's the privilege of his legacy that a career office guy wouldn't have.
