Rod Rosenstein is on his way to the White House, but there are conflicting reports as to whether its to resign, be fired or just to discuss his role at DOJ, amidst the recent reporting that he offered to wear a wire when meeting with President Trump. I assume it is to be fired. It's likely the NYT source Friday was the white house, imo. They’re looking to get the Mueller investigation out of the way, is my guess. Manafort pleaing guilty is getting too close for comfort.
Nah, he won't fire him. If the NYT article is to be believed, and he offered to wear a wire with POTUS, I'd say he'll offer to resign. And, there are strong arguments to be made as far as Trump's accepting or refusing his resignation, if offered.
