I don't agree. I think that has passed him by. Next week might salvage something.

 

Ya, I suspect he's coaching for his "next job" no matter how one slices it.

 

I'm super depressed if that train hasn't already passed him by. I don't know how any reasonable person is still holding out on him.

 

I think he can still save his job, theoretically of course.

 

UT can't have a guy that is now the national face of terrible coaching.

 

You have to take off your standards colored glasses for a minute, and try to see things from Cheek's point of view. This is a group that did an end around the big money last time in order to bring us Butch.

 

John Adams on Finebaum just said the opposite. But they still are talking about the "incident".

 

once it reaches the point of embarrassing, even Cheek gets some splatter on himself. I suspect he has to tread lightly around the issue now.

Adams.... That's a name you don't hear around here very often...In any event, John Adams and John Kincaide are probably two of my very least favorite talking heads. Especially Kincaide. I like Buck Belue OK enough but Kincaide makes the show unlistenable...

 

Not to mention that Jones has told any talking head who will listen that his family has been receiving "death threats" for over two weeks now.

He's finished here. As a coach in regards to recruiting, you can't recover from bad game time coaching AND the real perception that he hits his players.

Funny that Sark lost to Udub last night and "who's the next coach going to be?" Articles are springing up all over the damn place while UT is (predictably) digging in to protect a guy who is clearly going to get his ass handed to him over the rest of the month....

 

I've been apart of one moving van episode, I would welcome one now.
