I have no clue if its true. Have not heard anything other than a Facebook post about it. It was odd that ESPN had not posted anything. Would be a nice Christmas present for Saban to be gone.

Might have been misinterpreted for the whole staff, but still WTF?

Is there any news on Mack Brown's future?

I understand that if you have Saban lock, stock and barrel, getting Brown out won't be an issue. Just wondering if there are talks underway for Brown to resign if these rumors are true.

Did anyone see the Fansided article? I'm not at all familiar with that site so I didn't know if it's a fairly legit operation or if they're just spewing bull****

Texas has an AD retiring and a game on Saturday in a situation in which they can still win the conference.

    Not seeing it.............

That's not to say there's not a Plan B in place being discusses, but I just don't think it's a done deal quite yet.

No idea about fansided.com, kinda odd for this radio station to throw sports news out there based on rumor. They've always been pretty straight foward on not spreading rumors.

I agree with Card. TX can still win the conference, which could save Brown.

However, if you can get Saban locked up, Brown would have to win a NC to stay in.

I've merged the two Saban threads and updated the title.

Brown could retire after the game. That being said, it is kinda busch league to court a coach when you have a NC winning coach that still has regular season games left, especially when he has a shot at a conference title.

Smart must be Sabans illegitimate son to get that much

I've got to think if it had already been decided Brown was retiring, "retiring", or being outright fired, we'd know something more by now.

No doubt contact with Saban has been made, but I'm still not expecting the presser Sunday either.
