Why would they? He has no buyout and his statement about never interested in Texas is bullshit because of course that's the only thing he can say since there is no vacancy at TU and his good friend is employed there. The timing of the Mack Brown staying/signing extension isn't a coincidence.

Nick Saban's buyout has remained the same for the three most recent amendments - $1.

I don't know if he was interested or not, but don't mistake the absence of a buyout as being some indicator that he is or will be, as its nothing new.

Not surprising but it is disappointing.

I thought Saban would go, but Tenacious D you were on the money. BTW, just for the record, I do not consider Texas to be "the best coaching job in the country." I put the other ut as about a 7 or 8 win a year team in the SEC. I believe leaving the SEC may have been more of an obstacle than leaving Bama.

You've really nailed this whole situation. One of your finer moments.

Nick Saban will be announced in the next few days. Mack tried to stop this whole thing but only made himself look like a butthurt baby in the process.

It will be a joint press conference. Barak Obama will also announce he is resigning the presidency to manage the Uso Brothers at Wrestlemania.

Mack Brown will resign. He will still coach Alamo Bowl.

Hat, if you had to guess, what would be the percentage you would put on Saban being the coach at Texas?

    Is that a serious question?

Is it possible saban agreed to contract with alabama to allow brown time to resign, then take texas money and bolt out of bama after the bowl game?
