I think you nailed it. A rational person would feel bad, give up the recruiting guru / facebook stalker business, and focus on family and work, but a desperate man with nothing going on convinces himself that everything is ok.

 

It's comedic gold.

 

I've often wondered if anyone outside the message board world has ever sat down with him and had a good heart to heart about his priorities, choices he has made, and where he's currently at in life.
