That #1 seed is basically a free pathway to the championship game. LSU got their money's worth this year.

LSU with 3 or 4 NBA players in first 6 players?

 

LSU could easily lose to Florida or Auburn, but it's certainly a much easier path than the 2 seed, no argument there. Very similar to the ACC in that regard--there are three teams that are a clear cut above everyone else.

 

I honest to God think we lose tonight.

I think people are dramatically underestimating Miss. St. because of the egg they laid in Knoxville a week ago. A loss tonight would out us at 4-4 since starting 23-1 and taking a step up in competition. A loss and we are looking at a #3 seed, possibly.

 

This State team scares me. They are just a hung below LSU and UK IMO. Perfectly capable of beating us if we don't play well.

 

Mississippi State's shooting percentages from yesterday do concern me a bit. I didn't get to watch their game, so I have no idea if they were hot or if A&M just sucked on defense.

Either way, I do think there can be a slight advantage to having a game under your belt, especially when you saw the ball go in the net at a solid clip in that first game.

Its March. Gonzaga looked unbeatable recently and lost to a team they beat by 48. If that can happen, we can lose to Ms St playing for an ncaa bid.
