Very good post, VFJ. I think much of the perceived negativity can be attributed to personalities and, frankly, the fact that UT athletics have been in the proverbial toilet for several years. I don't think I'm overly negative, but I have become a bit jaded over the years. I'll also add that this is the most intelligent UT site by miles, directly attributed to its posters. I'll take a little anger and cynicism with that all day.

 

I think you misinterpret hate and flat out indifference.

Arkansas hires Bret Bielema, a guy with multiple Big Ten titles, Tennessee hires a guy that was interviewing for the Purdue and Colorado jobs after they whiffed on Mike Gundy.

Do you see who made a bigger named hire?

The jury is out on Butch for me, I'm not saying he's terrible or I would rather have Bret, but there is a huge gap in what Arkansas (!) hired and what Tennessee hired.
