Yep, but I would like to watch football all year round.

They shouldn't know what's on tv anyway. Tvs aren't made for kitchens.

I'd love to split up when the college and pros play football.

Would destroy virtually all other sports for 9 months of the year.

Problem is that the "have nots" could no longer play buy games and fund their programs.

You actually think anyone would give a shit about SMU-Tulsa in mid May?

You vastly overestimate how much people care about college football.

This. Their means of survival is piggy backing off the power conferences. Their demise would be swift.

And too much of a good thing.

There has to be an offseason. 24/7/365 football would not be a good thing.

Anywhere outside of the South, it is no bigger than high school football for 80% of people. In my experience, anyway. But that includes a lot of different places in all corners of the country.

Big exaggeration. As you said, there is definitely a regional aspect to it, though.

Is it even something that Fox Sports or ESPN would consider pursuing?

Hard to imagine it would drive significant viewership...but they broadcast women's basketball and poker, so I'm sure it'd be televised.

It's a good point about the USFL. Worked out very well for them. Hey, another good idea to try out is to play a bunch of games in Europe. Sitting on a gold mine for whomever tries that one out first.
