I have a routine at work where I listen to Bill Burr's on Monday and Thursday and Pardon My Take on Mon, Wed and Fri. Tuesday is just some random filler. If you haven't checked out Pardon My Take yet you're missing out. It's the funniest hour going right now in any entertainment format.
I pick them up and put them down, catching some more frequently than others. But these are usually those I listen to more frequently than others, in no particular order: Marc Maron WTF Reasonable Doubt w/Geragos & Carolla Here's the Thing w/Alec Baldwin Nerdist Stuff You Missed in History Class Common Sense w/ Dan Carlin NPR Ask Me Another Backstory (American History Guys) Kevin Pollack Chat Show (guest has to be worth a shit - Pollack isn't) Joe Rogan Experience Welcome to Night Vale Norm McDonald The Complete Guide to Everything Stuff You Should Know Hardcore History w/Dan Carlin Bloomberg Stuff They Don't Want You to Know Kennedy Library Forums Coffee Cup Apologetics TED Talks NPR Snap Judgment Art of Manliness Harry Potter & Sacred Texts Ben Shapiro You Made It Weird w/Pete Holmes The Way I Heard It w/Mike Rowe NPR Politics
Hardcore History is great. My problem is I usually listen in the evening and drift off, so I lose my spot. He tells a good story.
That's quite an extensive list there Tenny. I check out Rogan on occasion if I like the guest and have 3 hours to spare. Actually I listened to his interview with Steven Rinella last week and it was a great listen. I had no idea Norm had a podcast, that's going to be engaged soon.
There's some damn good stuff on here. I'll be honest, I expected your political stuff to be a little more echo chamber-y
Tenny has some great stuff. The Ross Report Talk is Jericho Steve Austin Show - Unleashed (good for wrestling and non wrestling fans alike) Game of Owns
If you like pro wrestling at all I HIGHLY recommend the 605 Superpodcast. Brian Last is a hell of a host and it's a fun show. Sometimes it's stupid but that's ok. You would really want to pick up on it from the beginning to figure out how these top 10 characters came about. But there's a lot, and I mean a lot of great old school wrestling discussion and he gets fringe guests that people may have never heard of but have awesome stories to tell.
Tony Kornheiser Show The Anfield Wrap (soccer) The Game (soccer) The World Next Week (Council on Foreign Relations)
I really honest-to-God do try to learn and understand all sides, as best I can, and despite however fitfully difficult it often is. NPR is the liberal media archetype, but I do enjoy both the content and format of most of their programs. They dive much deeper than most. While they'll always take any opportunity to go out of their way to chase / slam / hit a conservative / GOP / Trump, I rarely think that they're over-the-top and completely out-of-bounds, at least on their formal reporting pieces.
