I thought he pretty much put it out there.

 

I didn’t think so. Sounds like somebody was trying to blackmail him and/or the team with this story of him and his wife from when they were 18.

In all seriousness, I tip my cap to publicly putting that out there.

 

I'm not even a Berhalter fanboy and would rather they go in a new direction, but this should have no bearing. It occurred long ago and was resolved satisfactorily to the parties affected. It wasn't covered up. People must be allowed to recover when they own mistakes.
