He’s a project that will have a very limited and defined role. His problems have come by trying to step out of that role.
Pons problem is he looks like he should just switch to right handed cuz nothing lefty looks right or smoothe
I get a feeling he was told to not shoot at all last night. He had a 5 foot open shot in the lane and passed to Alexander.
I could have led my 7th grade team in assists if that was the case. Unfortunately, the stat keeer saw it differently.
Am I wrong to have thought that he had a muxh better defensive game last night, than the last few games? He looked to play more aggressively and only lost his guy 1-2 times. I don’t even trust my eyes, at this point, but I thought he looked better on D last night. Also, a sincere question - is he good enough at D (or something else) that we can afford or should continue to play him for significant minutes, given that he is a complete non-entity on offense? Defenses don’t even guard him. And who’s the younger guy on our team who almost never plays, because everyone says that he’s lights out on offense, but simply can’t / won’t play D?
Some of my loudest in-game screams occur whenever I see Yves unguarded with the ball, and behind the 3-point line...and for those 1-2 seconds where you know he’s thinking about shooting the ball.
Jalen Johnson. Played a bit more last night due to Bowden’s absence. I think Pons is better when they do less switching on everything, which they did less of last night
Pons is just so quick and athletic. That's great, but it also really gets him out of position at times on the wrong reads.
