Can't get low enough in his crouch.

Use a three point stance, imho

First UT game I ever went to was vs Louisville in 92? 93? I just remember Faulkner made the ridiculous ass catch, we ran a trick play on a punt return for a TD, and Louisville's WRs lined up in a 3 point stance.

It was a nice 1 handed snag across the middle and I think it was Nilo Sylvan on that punt reverse.

Yesterday Hyams was asked who has stood out the most recently at practice, without hesitating he said Josh Smith. Said he made a lot of 3rd and 8 type catches and had zero drops.

I don't know if that's good or bad considering the other guys are supposed to be so good. Mentioned that Dillon Bates is missing a huge opportunity to get reps right now by being hurt.

Do not be expecting Blair to contribute.

They have more plays for Kamara.

Said the media got to watch 8 periods out of a 12 period practice.

    Nothing from Jennings.

Said Preston Williams has become more mature and he thinks he'll contribute.

Apparently Dormady has hit the weights hard in the off season.

They've said a lot of good things about Jennings and Williams.

    Smith is pretty good.

Smith was about the only guy who'd catch a ball last season, QB throwing troubles aside

Smith, Wolf and Von seemed to be the only one getting thrown the ball with any regularity

I like Josh Smith. I think he's a decent college WR. I do think it's coaching malpractice he was the focal point of the passing game, though and I believe he would be much better as the 2nd WR on a team.

Preston Williams apparently makes circus catches every day and no one can cover him during the team sessions.

Which means he will be thrown the ball 2 times a game. I pray Marquez North gets drafted and goes on and has a HoF career.

Was he though? Malone, Kamara, and Pearson had more catches. Wolf had about as many.

I think Jennings has most receptions, Williams most yards this year.

That third LB spot is up in the air and I thought Bates would be involved there. McDowell probably the front runner.

Not really, but he got a lot of opportunities early in his career on screens that would have much better served going to Pearson or North. Last year, the passing game was a complete cluster that had no sort of rhyme or reason to it

    Agreed all around.

He's also a perfect fit for that spot.

LB should be strong. Kirkland is an NFLer.

There were times last year Malone acted like the ball was herpes
