-Replaced most of coaching staff because he couldn't get it done last year -Couldn't get it done this year because of a mostly new coaching staff *The excuses create themselves
About the only thing he has going for him is that he has a year to practice a new position before going live action. Still not better than getting paid to play football though.
someone would have paid him to play running back. I'm not so sure he's earning a pay day in the NFL at receiver.
I'm a little jealous of Hurds ability to leave a situation, and coaching staff that he's not happy with. I don't have that option. I guess thats the difference between a fan and a player.
You'd think he'd do really well at TE. Just think if we had a coach that could have talked him into moving to TE here.
The guy is good enough at halfback to play in the NFL. I think he can make a pretty compelling case that he can play TE, HBack, or FB in the NFL just by telling a story and working out for NFL guys. On a 45 man roster, he's one guy who can cover a lot of spots. That versatility is pretty valuable. The smartest thing he could have done was to say, "Kiss my ass, I'm going pro." I don't understand wanting to play another year of college at all, much less sitting a year to play another year of college. He left UT because he thought he was being wasted. That wasn't going to change by begging to come back.
Well yeah he should have gone pro, no disagreement there. I was suggesting what he should have done once he decided (or his dad decided) he was going to play college again
Would have been funny to have tucked tail and asked for another chance, then not show up when he got it. Immature, silly, but funny.
Now now Droski. You are forgetting who you are dealing with here. It was the WEATHER that impacted attendance. The players, coaching staff, and fans are more excited about next year than any other year this century.
