7-5 will be way different than 5-7. I get reasons to be sceptical but that's just silly. You don't get to 9+ wins from where this team has been over night and you can't fix all the roster issues in one or two classes.

7-5 means nothing. It's still mediocrity.

It's a step in the right direction.

Tennessee is a 7 or 8 win regular season team this year.

I'm looking forward to seeing if we win a couple of games we should lose, or lose a couple of games we should win.

That's how you know to get ready for the reign of Pruitt or coach searching in 2020

I've backed off a little with the 10 wins required stuff, just because of the putridness of the roster, but I'm still of the mind that if you don't see a quantum leap forward in year 2 then Pruitt isn't a championship level guy.

    Barring injuries, I agree.

Other side of coin - Not a person remotely even looked at him on the offensive side of the ball.

The trajectory matters a lot. Yea technically it's mediocre but it will boost recruiting and fan energy a lot. The following year needs to be 10 wins and a curb stomp of at least one rival other than Kentucky or Vandy.

Savage Orange I need ammunition, not a ride. -V Zelensky.

This has to be the least interest I’ve ever seen in an O&W game... usually the board lights up with commentary and pictures but there has been pretty much nada here...

I’ve never been terribly interested in it tbh.

Only time I went to the Orange and White game, Peerless Price got a season ending injury. I haven't gone back.

Yea I think it works better as a combination fan day and scrimmage with a bunch of family oriented entertainment. Make it a celebration of Tennessee/college football. That is one thing Butch had the right idea.

I watch it, but it is essentially a practice exhibition and not directly indicative to the season to come, any more than practices are in general

I went my freshman year, which was spring ‘99, and the kiffin year. Maybe one other time?
