    There was a beat writer in Cincinnati that apparently knew Jones somewhat well that absolutely eviscerated him.

    This guy said Jones was telling his players and recruits that he'd be back to Cinci while he was interviewing for the UT job. While that's pretty standard stuff for guys like Petrino and other coaches... when your recruiting premise is "family, trust and loyalty" you shit on those when you say you're committed to Cinci and use it to barter up in the football world.

    He was the guy that would always refer to him as "lyle" and it pissed Jones off.

    He also lied to the AD at Cincinnati about interviewing for the Colorado job. Told him he had no interest when he had been in Denver the day before.

    Someone needs to start a "Lyle" chant at Neyland next week, similar to the "Cueto" chant the Pirates did a few years ago. Hopefully, he snaps and walks off of the field.
