Is that 8-4 while continuing to show coaching incompetence?

 

Never wanted him here to begin with. That hasn't changed, and 8-4 sure as hell isn't changing my mind.

That said, he's not going anywhere at 8-4, or even 7-5. Shit, he's probably back at 6-6.

 

That team was young, terrible, and breaking in a new QB and OC. Still came into our house and beat us. Our schedule is horrible this year (especially now that it looks like Arky is bad). Wins should be plentiful.

 

We all thought we could maybe get lucky and have big years with Butch, mainly because he's pulling tons of blue chips. We knew he's no stud coach but we thought we could still win. He has shown that he could have a Bama's roster and lose two, three games or maybe more. Why not cut our losses while we've got tons of young talent. IF you could make a splash hire we could be in a great spot.

 

He could still get eight wins with this schedule (bowl included) and not beat anyone worth a damn. Just based on the first two weeks the only legit threats to a coach at UT in year three should be UGA and Bama. Maybe Mizzou.

Top coaches have moxi, swagger. And they don't have to manufacture it. They just do. Butch does not. It's really as simple as that for me.

Fulmer carried it. Pearl even did. When they walked in a room you knew it. YMy guess is Saban, Meyer, dantonio, etc. do as well. Butch does not. You can see it on the sidelines. It's really not much deeper than that for me.
