Don’t think the game against Iowa has any affect whatsoever on how we play against Purdue.

If we come out and hit shots early, I think we win.

 

I just hope Purdue doesn't go zone the whole game. If they do, we might not break 30.

 

Don’t forget, Painter is considered just as big of a tourney choker as Barnes.

 

And thats what happened today. Early we were running, gunning and firing from deep without thinking. Then we slowed it down to run halfcourt offense and lost aggressiveness.
Cant play that way.

 

They only had to go at about 75-80% for a big stretch of the season and it looks like that's become a learned behavior. This year's schedule is considerably weaker (last year's SOS was 8th in the country, this year's in currently about 44th) so the team hardly got challenged. It's easy to get up for emotional rivals like UK. Doing it against everyone is the goal.

 

Lyls as you know its also kinda human nature to feel like a team you dominated for a half cant hang, and let up, which we did.
Its as if we need to be down, tied or blow a lead to focus and finish teams off

 

Purdue is the team with that Viking giant, right?

 

For what it’s worth, my Iowa fan cousin says he’d bet on us to beat Purdue. He said he watched them a number of times this season, and he feels Tennessee is more likely to have a good game than Purdue is to have back to back great games.

 

That Purdue PG is wild though.

If we couldn't stop Colgate kid, not feeling great about our chances to stop him. Hopefully he gets pink eye.

 

Should be a good match up with Lamonte.

 

Purdue is 3-4 against ranked teams this season.

They beat Iowa by 16.

They lost to an unranked Texas squad.
