Hmm, y'all need some education on Tennessee uniform history. Our original color was black. We eventually put orange on our uniforms along with the black, but also brown and grey. We also had logos before the Power T. A traditionalist who doesn't like black or only wants the Power T isn't a traditionalist, he is ignorant and biased to his own life time. *this is just a sampling, there are more iterations
I'd LOVE to see them to with that first one, all black with orange stripes on sleeves, just to hear the blue hairs raise hell about it for a few weeks, only to be told that this is THE original jersey.
Actually, the original jerseys were just some old tshirts they found lying around the dorms. And the leather helmets had no color at all. If we want to get pedantic about it But that's not what 'tradition' means. Tradition is not necessarily the way things were at the earliest point in a team's history. Tradition is something that evolves over time, and has staying power, and has been the mainstay for a long time. In other words, Orange and White.
