Saw that earlier. Lived 27 of my 35 years in two of those cities and, well yeah.

I do think they missed out on some smaller town in there though.

I don't know how you leave a town called Bucksnort off the list on just name alone. And Lake City (aka Rocky Top) is definitely redneck.

Springfield is right up the road from me. They got that one right

  5. RockyHill

RockyHill Loves Auburn more than Tennessee.

I don't know if Midtown by Rockwood is actually a city, but it trumps Rockwood.

They ain't been to Greenbrier, Ridgetop, or Joelton.

Springfield gets what comes from there.

No Maynardville. No Tazewell. No Jellico. No credibility.

If Halls were considered a city, it would take the first four spots on the list.

This was what I was coming to say. Throw Lake City (now Rocky Top) in there too.

Also, Bucksnort has to make the list on name alone.

Probably East TN. What's weird is they're rednecks and think they're gentry.

My parents are from West TN, south of Dyersberg. That whole area is as redneck as possible. I still like to visit nonetheless.

List should begin and end with Newport. Scariest place I've ever been, hands down.

I worked in construction back in the 80 in Knoxville with a man from Newport. He was a short man with a bald head. He came in one day telling of how he got into a brawl in some joint in Newport and the other guy wore all the chrome off his chain, by generously and repeatedly applying it to his head.

Hell, Newport isn't even the scariest place in Cocke County.
