I was pulling for AEW but I drew the line last Wens with Riho and Marko [uck fay]ing Stunt. I love MJF but it's not worth it. It's shit.

WWE fired two executives today and their stock is falling faster than Mankind off the top of the cage.

Dropped $9 and change in a matter of minutes.

For my money, the most significant moment in pro wrestling history.

And in terms of most impactful moments for me as a fan:
1.) Hogan slamming and beating Andre at WM3
2.) Hogan heel turn, introduction of the New World Order
3.) Savage turning on Hulk, end of the Mega Powers

1 and 2 either way you want to put them and I won't argue.

The nWo was the greatest faction in the history of professional wresting and Hogan joining them as the third man beats any other moment of his career.

Beside that, as a fan gimme

    Austin 3:16
    nWo formation
Taker v Mankind Hell in a Cell

    I will add:

Austin 3:16 says I just whipped your ass

Wrestlemania 13 Stone Cold vs Bret Hart

Die Rocky Die promo by the Rock where he absolutely rips the fans a new asshole

Kurt Angle vs Shane McMahon at whatever king of the ring it was where the glass didn't break

Austin passing out in the sharpshooter was one of the most amazing things I've seen in the squared circle.

Austin 3:16 is probably the most important promo in the history of the business.

But for me, as a fan at the time, it just felt like a really good promo. Not until later, after Austin became the biggest star in the biz, could I go back and point to it as being as so consequential. It’s hard to articulate...not huge for me in the moment, but huge in retrospect.

Same with the Montreal Screwjob. Big deal at the time...but when you consider that it launched the Mr. McMahon character, it’s a top 5 significant moment in wrestling history.

Shit, I’m not so sure that Mr. McMahon and Hollywood Hogan aren’t #1 & #2 respectively as the most impactful heel characters of all time.

He and Bret have had a few discussions about this match on a variety of shows and podcasts. I can’t point you to one specifically off the top of my head, but if you haven’t already listened, It’s worth digging around for it.

Pretty sure McMahon specifically told them no blood before the match, and they did it anyway. Looking back at those images of Austin in the sharpshooter with the blood pouring down his face before passing out, you can’t come close to replicating the drama of that scene without the blood.
