There is zero chance something like this happens for a Bama QB in Tuscaloosa. The judge probably grants him three more years of eligibility at the first hearing.
NCAA offered JUCO exceptions after the Pavia case that were consistent with the court’s ruling but Joey was pushing beyond that. Namely he started his NCAA eligibility clock by taking his redshirt year at Division 1 App St and then transferring to JUCO for three years. One of which was a COVID year and didn’t count. And then went back to Division 1 again. I believe Pavia went JUCO and then D1. Also the combination of redshirt + COVID +JUCO was a much longer period of time which seemed to be a factor. Basically how excessive is this? And I think the judge was sending this just stretched NCAA requirements too far.
3 non-conference games are pretty much near 100%, that means 3-6 in the league. I'm usually labeled an optimist but 3-6 in conference would be horrendous.
Basically year 0 for Heupel now. How can we expect him to compete with a brand new DC and no SEC-caliber QB on the roster?
we are actually pretty deep there. We had some young guys last year who will be heavier and stronger. No big Jons but will have 300 lbs 3 deep
this strength coach will get good weight on all of them. I still have a hard time believing Nathan Robinson is 6’5 295. He looks like a DE build to me.
