Is anyone seeing this chatter about Chavis to Texas A&M? Might we benefit?

 

It's official now. Yahoo sports reporting that Chavis has accepted the A&M job

 

A little soon, right? I guess A&M doesn't care about the 400K but I'd have waited.

 

Reportedly $1.7 million per year. Don't blame him a bit; smart move getting away from Les.

 

You don't think it's the other way around?

 

I would wait until midnight to save 400k.

Seems like a poor decision unless the the primary reason for moving is monetary.

 

Miles is squarely on the hot seat for next season. Sumlin is not. They were 103rd in defense this year, so improving them won't be that difficult because they can't get much worse. And, he makes half a million dollars a year more than he was making. I would have done it too if I were him.

 

It's a safe choice.

 

LSU has no offense either.

 

Their quarterbacks have been terrible for years.

 

Chavis just opened the door for UT to land Phillips and Martin, and possibly flip Amadi. True VFL, IMO FWIW GBFO.
