Doesn't make him one of the all time greats though. Thats the point, the vast majority of Braves "fans" either know **** about baseball, or are like the ones I have mentioned. I am not saying you or Huffman are those fans, but it is a fanbase that is almost on par with SEC football fans (all of them) in level of stupidity it brings.

To be fair, there a lot of stupid fans of a lot of teams that overrate their players. There are just a lot more Braves fans down here to deal with.

The Braves fanbase is like 10% people who live in Atlanta and actually go to the games, and 90% "casual fans" across the Southeast who know like 3 players. Of course it's a dumb fanbase, haha. Look at Bama, UK, the Lakers...what widespread fanbase isn't like that?

I can proudly say I frequented the old Fulton County Stadium in the late 80's.

 

This is why I follow them. When I was a kid, I would come home and watch a game on TBS what seemed like every night.

 

all the ones i know are fans who go to the games and keep up. and they all are guilty of the nonsense, minus one or two of them
