I saw him live opening for someone else years ago before I or anyone else really knew who he was. He burned the joint down.

 

This is far from what I'd call country music but it has always been a major guilty pleasure of mine.

 

I’d never heard of her but I’m gonna be predisposed to liking anything from the early 2000’s. My guess was 2001 and I see that song came out summer 2000. Sounds to me like mixing Matchbox Twenty’s Push with Cross Canadian Ragweed and then making it female.

I was born in 1992 so I like a lot of 90’s/early 2000’s music but I wasn’t really listening to it when it was new.

 

It’s not like I perused her entire catalog but she had a couple of bangers, and incidentally, I would’ve

I'm pretty sure we're close to the same age and I'd never heard of her. I pulled her up on Spotify and I've heard a couple of her songs, but can't say that I've ever heard her name before this thread.

But she hit the scene in 2000 and was pretty popular across radio and MTV during the aughts.

 

I think I hear one of those 2 songs about 80% of the time I enter a Publix

 

I’ve revisited and there’s several I recognize. But before today I wouldn’t have known who she was or been able to name any songs if I did hear them. To be fair though that same bill would probably fit a lot of stuff from like 1997-2002 that y’all will never forget. Not altogether foreign to me I just caught it a little later and not all of it.
