I'm working in downtown Nashville. Thinking I'll take my lunch around 1:15 and walk around until I find a good spot for the main action at 1:27. Dreading traffic getting home after work.
Eclipse was cool. It was sunny, then it got kinda dark, then it was sunny again. No zombies or aliens, though.
If you weren't at totality, you can't say it was overrated because you didn't see a total eclipse. C'mon.
Pretty cool. Not life-changing, but glad I saw it. On the "things I like to watch" list, I rank the eclipse somewhere below porn and somewhere ahead of UT football.
That was awesome. Had my sons with me and the oldest was completely blown away by it. We drove up to where I work as it was in the totality zone. The weirdest thing that I didn't notice in the eclipse of the mid 80's was how cool it got. At about 80% eclipsed, the temperature drop was very noticeable and when it when to 100% it was eerily cool. Well deserving of the hype if you were in the 100% zone.
Had 100% from the driveway. Have no idea when the next is supposed to be but I would travel a bit for children to see.
I've talked to a few friends who drove up to the ZOT and they all said it was cool as hell. We had 95% coverage here and it got a little dim and it did cool off a bit but that was it. Maybe in 7 years when the next one rolls around I'll make more of an effort to see it.
