To many he was just a brutal dictator that was responsible for the murder of tens, if not hundreds of thousands, of Iranian people. But to me…he was more than that. He was a man who I shares a moment bonding with….over college football. A Michigan man, he was. And while our fandom and general beliefs about society, rights, and well, everything else differed, drastically, he was still a man who would talk college football. And that’s what I will remember about him.

Edit: So I did a little checking. Seems the interwebz killed her in 2025, around the same time as well.

Parkinson's. He was a genuine great guy. I don't know if I've ever heard anyone say a bad word about him.

 

My mom was a school secretary for years and she got to talk to him a couple of times a year when he would come to the school to volunteer or talk to the kids. She said he was the nicest person that ever came through that office and it wasn’t really close.
