Just learned of the passing of Jim Nabors. RIP Gomer. I believe the only major characters left are Opie, Thelma Lou, and Ellie.

 

I met Thelma Lou last spring. Super nice lady.

 

He is one of those people that rumors of his death kept cropping up you always think this is a prank, too.

Not so, this time.

I know a lot of you all appreciate for his time on Andy Griffith, and his own show, but I’ll miss him the most for this:

RIP Jerry Van Dyke

 

He was so great as Luther Van Dam.

 

Dolores O'Riordan. Only 46. Lead singer of the Cranberries, who hold a special place in my heart. Beautiful voice.

 

That’s terrible. Can’t say I was a huge fan, but Linger and Zombie were great.

 

Damn, she had an awesome voice

 

Cranberries and 10,000 Maniacs, which I always thought sounded a lot alike, were both solid female-led groups from the 90s. Sad news.

 

I thought Garbage was pretty good too.

 

Really like Merchant's voice, have been to a concert and thoroughly enjoyed it.*

Been singing Zombie chorus for an hour. Now, it's in my hea ed, in my he a e a ed.

 

Doug Harvey. The only Ump I truly enjoyed watching. He was a master of his profession.

 

Ursula K. Le Guin. An incredibly gifted writer whose work was intelligent and often intensely thought-provoking. She leaves behind such wonderful gifts. RIP.
