I wasnt a miami fan but i liked Don Shula a lot. He was a smoothe dude. Plus hes one of those dudes who doesnt look like anybody youve ever seen before

 

It has been hard watching him deteriorate over the past couple of years.

It's awful. I'm daily dealing w a loved one in the early yet rapidly growing stages of dementia. My question is, and this obviously belongs in another thread, if Joe Biden's family truly loved him, why would they allow him to be put in the national spotlight while in the similar condition.

It's cool, man. It is what life is. Today it is my grandmother, tomo it will be my mother or father. As children and grandchildren, it's our duty to love and honor them while we can then to comfort them in their last days. It's kind of beautiful.

 

My grandfather lost most mid-to-late life recall and memory. But what was incredible was how it almost crystallized his early life memories. He would share some of the most interesting and detailed stories of the late teens and 1920s all the way through about the early 40s. Yet he wasn’t sure who I was most of the time unless I told him and even then the recognition was only there sometimes.

 

Denial can be strongest in loved ones.

Who wouldn’t want to believe that their husband could be President, even as their wife had to serve as his handler.
