Anyone do much boar hunting?

 

Surprised you got this close without spooking them.

 

I'm very quiet

 

I've shot a few, but it's been while deer hunting in south Georgia and they came by.

 

Pretty popular in Central Florida, you can go all year long, and hunt with anything from a canon to a pocket knife

 

I’ve never hunted a place where the deer seemed to be completely nocturnal but that seems to more or less be the case on my lease in SC.

I’ve never done a deer drive but it seems like that’s what we should be doing.

 

A guy I worked with, from South Carolina, said that's the only way they hunted.

I have yet to kill a duck.

 

Any geese?

 

We don’t get geese. It’s very rare they make it to us before season closes.

 

Let one piss you off enough.

 

They’ve plenty annoyed me this year. We’ve had crap weather, and water problems.

 

Lot of geese coming back from the south. Not seeing a lot of ducks in air or on water.

There is a high probability my season ends with a .22 rifle and ducks on the water.

 

Took some work but finally got a limit of mallards and gads yesterday.

 

Followed up with three more. And some more ducks too.

A rare Arkansas mallard, at least this year

 

Almost as rare as the elusive green wing teal. I’ve seen... 11 of those? I killed one, so that doesn’t leave much left.

It’s the beans. Because they didn’t get pulled out up north, the ducks don’t have to come down here for food.
