Boogie isnt exactly one that helps a locker room stay together. Could be the biggest failure of a professional team in the history of sports. I also have never been able to figure out the numbers as to where all this $ comes from. Grizz had @ 8k there for games. People hardly watched.
I wonder how this will affect the Kawhi trade. On the one hand, sending him to the Lakers now doesn’t really seem like that big of a deal for the Spurs, since nobody’s beating Golden State next year anyway. On the other hand, are the Lakers really motivated to pick him up immediately? It’s not like they’re winning next year even if they get him.
I love this Kawhi trade for Toronto, even if they end up losing him at the end of the year. They had to try something other than Lowry-DeRozan again.
Will Toronto even keep him? Seems like they'd be smart to deal him to one of the LA teams and start to rebuild.
I think they’ll try and convince him to stay like Paul George, and if he doesn’t, then they’ll rebuild.
Seems like an awfully big piece to just let go. It’s not like completely rebuilding will be easy for a team like Toronto. No one wants to go there.
Pretty cool. Also reminds me when Michael Scott promised college education to a bunch of 8 year olds, and at 18 they all graduated and expected their $.
I had wondered how a public school was being totally bankrolled by one person. Now we have the answer - https://articles.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2018/08/whos_paying_for_lebron_james_n_1.amp Also, I don't fault James at all, this is a very noble endeavor for kids who need it, but I wish we could just state all the facts up front.
