You should again look up sanctimony again because you've been high and mighty all night. Full of yourself. You think Harden is great. Awesome. I don't. MJ is the GOAT, always will be. Nothing you can do about it. Harden would not have scored like this in 80s ball, wouldn't have been able to walk or step back and would've been pushed around more at the same time. Jordan in turn if let loose and not running a halfcourt triangle offense in 2019 at his peak could have scored 45, just as ESPN was discussing. Pro analysts and players agreed with me. You don't. I'm good with those who agree and not worried about who doesn't.
I'm not the one saying I'll teach you how to watch basketball. This wasn't about Harden when you initially tried this argument, but in the '80s literally every defense he faces today would be illegal. Teams would have to guard him one-on-one instead of doubling him from halfcourt and he certainly would get his; he's also one of the strongest guards we've seen. You can lionize everyone in the '80s and '90s if you want, but it generally evens out. It's fun to watch you talk about "players and pro analysts" while simultaneously dancing around what Jordan himself said, though. When you can't condescend, by all means just avoid instead.
oh you wanna talk about what Jordan said years ago. Ok. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/michael-jordan-says-lebron-would-not-be-as-successful-in-his-era/
Hard to give a shit about his opinions on current players when the first link says he'd take Kobe over LeBron. I'm sure he would, his ego loves Kobe copying him and probably can't stand LeBron threatening his legacy
of course you don't give a shit about the GOAT's opinion. Or Mourning, or Rose, or anybody else. Why would you.
There's a big difference between him opining on how good current players are, which he has consistently proven to be terrible (and ridiculously egotistical) in doing, and him opining on his own career (a.k.a Jordan discussing zone, KG, McGrady, Duncan, etc.)
Teams were generally playing more straight man anyway, though, as opposed to today's playoff defenses where non-shooters don't have a guy within 15 feet of them. (And Harden hasn't done as well against said playoff defenses, either, which is why this isn't a Harden vs. Jordan thing)
I won’t deny that the late out of bounds call was on LeBron. It definitely was. But I’m not necessarily sure I like changing a call that literally can’t be seen without slowing the replay down to about an eighth of the full speed. It just seemed very different from the normal “who touched it last” review.
I agree. it also gets away from the spirit of the call. very similar to whether a football was "under control" when going out of bounds. slowing it down completely changes the context of the perception of the act in the first place.
It'll never actually happen, and an 82 game season will catch up to them, but right now the Grizz are a game out of the 8th playoff spot. And honestly, there's about 3-5 games they've lost than they should have won. Who even thought you'd ever be seeing that nearing the halfway point of the season?
my 86 year old mom hasn't missed a grizz game if its on tv since the Grizz came to town. I woulda liked to get her to a game, but she's not mobile enough.
I second this. the ADA means these places have a way to accommodate her. they can help you get in, and will have alternative seating for you that is wheelchair accessible. they may even provide you an usher/escort.
To be fair, I didn’t think the last playoff team would be 15-20, but I do think the Grizz could actually make it.
That's fair. I'm afraid they are going to wear out down the stretch due to youth. It's and adjustment to 82 games, esp for Morant. That said, they are still 4-7 games better than anybody expected right now.
