I really like She's a Rainbow, Ruby Tuesday, Paint it Black, Dead Flowers, and Start Me Up. A lot of their stuff is too bluesy for me. Would put them top 10 rock bands but not #1.
I think I have heard plenty of them over the last 40+ years not sure I would actually pay for an additional dosage
Jagger and Richards gotta be in their 70's. Jagger still struttin' around on stage like a peacock and how or why Richards isn't pushin' up daisies is beyond me
Saw them 10 years ago in Memphis. They were pretty incredible then. Not surprised they still are. I, too, am surprised they are still alive though.
Both are 71. Richards has basically pickled himself, so I am not sure he will ever die. But 71 in 2015 is not the same as 71 in 1985.
Watt's the oldest so he must be what mid-70's? And he looks the best of the four Yeah, 60's the new 40 and all that
That's arguable. But what isnt' arguable is that they haven't put out a single decent song in over 30 years.
To be clear, I have no fundamental beef with the Stones. I think they are a solid rock band. I'm just not into seeing bands that have been functionally dead for over three decades. It's inconsistent with my worldview.
I could argue the same thing. But don't feel bad, because everybody's favorite band sucks. It's one of the perks of internet.
You may be right simply based on longevity. I'm not a big fan of theirs but admire what they've achieved.
