I'm amazed that our little league managed to lay sod in the middle of the season, play on it 5 days a week, forget to water it for a week in June, and it is still holding up a million times better than a athletic department with a 9 figure budget.

I've seen grass grow in Tennessee, it'll grow so much, you'll have to cut it every once and a while.

artificial turf isn't really that bad anymore, though it does seem kind of embarrassing for tenn.

 

If they can't grow strong roots in Tennessee, they would probably install turf wrong too.
