Dobbs is literally a no risk guy to take where they took him. He’s serviceable as a backup, a great leadership guy with no off the field issues, and maybe they somehow fix his accuracy issues and he becomes an okay starter between Ben and their next franchise QB.

If not, they draft over him in a couple years and move on.

Anyone trying to make the claim that Dobbs was an accurate QB here is kidding himself.

I think Dobbs threw one on the money pass that I can think of. It was the slant that Malone took to the house against Florida. Only one I can think of with precise accuracy.

 

He threw a screen to Croon against UK in either 13 or 14 that was accurate too

 

Almost as rare as a unicorn sighting. Ha

 

the pass to Josh Smith on 4th down against Ga that was intended for Malone was perfect

 

He threw one to Malone against Bama in 2015 late in the game that was pretty accurate. Maybe slightly behind, IIRC, but it had to be a good pass because semi accurate agains their secondary is a pick most of the time.

 

Threw a nice deep ball to Malone in the bowl game against Nebraska.

 

He threw it well enough. Certainly no Tom Brady but I always thought it got a bit overstated.

 

The heave to Jennings at UGA last year was pretty dang spot-on....
