The workout thread(Weighlifting/Running)

    One week into it.

    Down 2.2 pounds, sleeping better, tons more energy, don't feel like I'm in a constant haze for the first time in months.

    Fundamental goals are self discipline and mental toughness. That I've worked out twice a day for a week is a minor miracle in and of itself.

    Day 15.

    Down 3 pounds total, but I'll take it. Walked 20K steps on Saturday. Body is sore, just doing light exercise bike this morning, but all in all I feel really good. I told my wife over the weekend I actually feel like me again.

    Day 22 -

    Weighed in this morning at 199.0.

    As best as I can recall, that's the first time I've been under 200 since 2007.

    Day 29 - 197.4

    The part I've found most humorous is that I burn more calories coaching than doing anything else.

    Resting heart rate has dropped from a normal 77 to 71.

    Eh, we've got a ways to go before that.

    Only thing I don't know is how much I've lost in fat and put on in muscle.

    I get about 15K steps everyday. Didn't realize it until I started wearing a Fitbit charge.

    Some days I get 70, feels like on others like my daughter’s birthday I get 70k.

    My wife swears I never sit down. I bet I would break a Fitbit if I ever did crack.

    Day 36

    194.8, down over 10 pounds, and 185 seems a lot more likely now.

    Day 43.

    Weighing again tomorrow because I'm fairly certain I didn't gain over 2 pounds last week.

    Resting heart rate at 69, which I'm as happy about as anything.

    My youngest is getting into lifting. He's 5'6 110 lbs, getting some testosterone finally and started spending 45 minutes after school outside with a headband and his shirt off lifting. Kinda funny to see your son go thru that stage. 26/32 pants now. Protein shakes, ice cream, whatever I can get him to eat seems to not matter

    52 days down, 23 to go.

    I'm at 193. Actually building a little muscle though. I'm pleased.

    Resting Heart rate was 77 when I first started. Fluctuates between 67-69 now. Goal is to get it to 60-62 range.
