Machines are for 40 something year old housewives at Curves. Fitting that Butch would have his guys using them.
Butch probably stayed up late at night, unable to sleep due to extreme anxiety from upcoming Vanderbilt games, watching infomercials and ordered a shit ton of those stupid machines. "Hey, intern that makes 30,000 that we now have in charge of our entire strength and development program, I saw this awesome new CoreMaster 5000 last night. It's scientifically proven to develop your core better than any other workout. We will have the best cores in the nation. Going to need you to order 150, please."

It’s hard to mess up the strength program at this level. You’re getting the absolute best genetics to work with at a prime age for strength building with a huge amount of resources at your disposal. That’s why high school coaches shouldn’t get too caught up in the programming by top colleges and NFL teams.
