Mine was weird. I have tried to quit to others delight, and never stuck with it. I didn't really want to quit just decided it was time.
But, I'll also admit this: Im certain its still delicious. I love the stuff. I have for a long time. I just know I cant pick it up and put it back down after one or two dips. I also know in the long run, its unhealthy. Its a matter of self control and for a long time, I had none. Now I do, and I'm aware of my limits.
I am going on about 2 months of quitting cigs. I had to give up coffee as well. The drive to work sucks now.
I enjoyed it. Never had any complications from it. (knock on wood) Will probably stick with the Smokey Mountain for a while.
I can go 8 months and never really think about it. As soon as I climb up into a treestand or get in a duck blind, I have to have one.
I imagine if you tried to get into making money off of it you'd run into something similar to what the feds did with bootleg whiskey. They want their cut. I made some chew one time, not bad.
I was speaking more on the "green" organic movement with marketing goods that a big time tobacco company hasn't tried to sell the idea of organic cigs and dip. I know there is American Spirit but that's just for hipsters.
Struggle everyday. Have the desire, don't have the ability. I'll stop for a couple of months, then I'll get to working on some project or another... and I'll crave one and fall back. Meant to stop this week, but broke down last night and bought a can. Hate it.
