Tracking MIddle School and High School Students

    These schools are forcing their students to have microchip cards on them at school for tracking purposes. Doesn't this infringe on their civil rights? What do you guys think?

    How can these schools spend money on that, while others are falling apart?

    No idea. They're going to be in hot water if other areas are lacking adequate resources though. I did notice the ACLU was already involved which isn't surprising but the superintendent should have seen that coming from a mile away.

    The story said the ACLU declined to take the case, as I understood it.

    You're right. They said "it didn't meet the groups criteria." Kind of weird.

    Yeah, it has the chance to tangibly affect people's lives.

    (disclaimer: I don't care about the ACLU one way or the other)

    Not sure where the line is, but by definition you give up some of your rights when you walk into a school building.
