I definitely feel comfortable with this staff as far as how they handle telling kids they may have to move on. They all seem upfront and honest which is refreshing. Kids just don't want to be strung along and lied to.
Maurer sat out yesterday and this morning. Hard to see a scenario where he is on the team after he meets with Heupel tomorrow.
I hope whatever he does, he keeps his mental well-being in check. I get the feeling with him that he's constantly teetering on the edge.
Maurer is not stable. Hope he finds his peace. Thought he could be our guy a year ago. Has the arm and legs and effort, but he has a disease that is hard to deal with
I wish him luck. I really thought he had a shot of turning things around here. Maybe a new environment is what he needs to get right.
