I'm not sure float. It seems tailor-made for those two guys but it hasn't hooked me like I thought it would. I think it is a show better if consumed all at once instead of over 12 weeks. Needless to say, I'm on the fence.
oh yeah. been reading about the yellow king today. spoilers. http://thinkprogress.org/alyssa/2014/02/16/3292391/true-detective-carcosa/#
I'm up to the episode where they found the tattoed guy walking out of the CONEX with a gas mask on and a machete. I haven't been able to get caught up yet. It's good though ... I'm hooked.
That's how we did it. Rather than ep by ep, we filled up the DVR. I think it helps develop the character better.
agree but still enjoyed the series, not sure how i feel about new characters coming for the second season
Thought there definitely could have been some more explained about the Tuttles, but the final battle or whatever in Carcosa was pretty damn intense.
the final confrontation was great, despite the fact that i felt like i was reliving texas chainsaw massacre when going through childress's house. intense definitely, as intense as the coke fueled smash and grab when rust was undercover with the bikers? not even close. i felt like i was geeked out during that.
I thought Carcosa was worse. All those damn tepees, mummies, weird acoustics and winding tunnels... And somewhere there is a giant lunatic that has a lifetime of experience in rape and torture.
