What really angered me was the Kentucky game. Phil was alive on the sidelines, he let the players play, he didn't just keep the game close to the vest and play to not lose like he had been doing for about 6 years. And while the score didn't show it, we crushed them. I remember screaming at the TV, "Where has this been, you idiot? You could still be coach."
That's the thing. He and Butch will have great games at times but then fall back into the muck and lose to Vandy. Frustrating as hell.
I'm not really rooting for losses, but I can understand it. Can't say I was elated when we pulled out the Georgia Tech win. Seemed like we managed to lose the game without actually causing any damage to Butch.
You are correct. I'd rather him lose now and start rebuilding. You'd rather students walk out and embarrass everybody more than a loss ever would. We won't have the same opinions on very many topics, and that's cool with me.
