I’m happy that they can market and make money for themselves. If I’m Tennessee I’m doing two things already though. 1st I’m hiring an accountant in the AD to handle filing taxes and handling that side properly for the athlete’s so they don’t get in trouble with the IRS. second I’m selling the hell out of Tennessee not having an income tax so athlete’s get to keep more of their money instead of having to give it to the state
That first thing is huge. Make sure the athletes know it is available and even have a required workshop. The second is something that I never would have thought of.
Looks like there are already companies that are popping up as the middle man for all NIL transactions. Think the Miami Qb and FSU Qb signed on as their primary spokes people for the one I saw. Probably going to lead to a lot of kids getting screwed by those types.
