How sad is it that it's Wednesday and we have a date with our biggest rival on Saturday (#1 team in the land) and yet little to nothing is being discussed about it? If that doesn't shed light on the current state of our program I don't know what does. Either way, I felt the need to start a thread to discuss the game...

I'll give ESPN credit, their UT/Bama commercial makes it looks like it will be an exciting game.

 

If we can squeeze a moral victory out of this game I'll be happy.

If that isn't a VFL I don't know what is. I turned down a free opportunity to go so what does that make me?

 

I'll be there, but it's mostly to see the '97 team honoring.

Not going to lie, when the 97 team was announced, I gave it second thoughts.

 

It's never a bad idea to attend Tennessee-Alabama.

 

I have called in sick in the past just for this game.....Nothing better than the 3rd Saturday in October!

 

Just glanced at the rivalry history to reminisce about the times we used to win and realized this: UT is 1-18-1 when Alabama is ranked in the top 5. 0-3 when they are #1

It seems like any time Bama is the favorite against us, they win. I don't know the exact numbers, but I can't remember us pulling off too many upsets against them.

 

According to the bammers I camped with last night, Tennessee really doesn't have any rivals.

 

Sadly I agree. Vanderbilt has become Tennessee's biggest rival with Florida's being Georgia and bama being Auburn or Lsu.
