So, there's at least one "home" game on the schedule I won't be attending.

That was a Wyoming home game, not a UT home game.

Off topic but who was the team that paid a lesser opponent to move a game's site to their home field and ended up losing. For some reason I'm thinking it was Miami vs Temple in 97 or 98.

does that make a difference re: beer sales?

I'm interested to see who they play now that the UConn series has been suspended. That was supposed to be an away game so am sure it will now be a home game since they're playing one in Nashville.

Don't think so. The same reason you're allowed to drink at the UGA-UF game.

Side note, UT played Vandy at LP instead of their shitty home "stadium" a couple of times when I was in high school. Made the game much better.

I'm okay with it if it's a recruiting tool.

Yes. It is an SEC rule forbidding alcohol sales at SEC hosted contests.

I have never attended the UGa/UF game. Are you sure alcohol sales are allowed in the game?

The SEC rule is the reason that no home SEC games sell alcohol. You also won't find it at the SECT or the SEC Championship Game in football.

that sucks. the whole point of one of those off site games is being able to tailgate and drink in the stadium.

I thought you could buy beer at the SEC Basketball Tournament.

But I don't remember, I was already lit when I got there

It's a good tactic, if we can't keep our homegrown top talent, why would kids in Ohio or Florida come here?

I thought you could buy beer at the SECCG as well, but, like you, I was already pretty gone.

Plus, it was the '07 game. Things might have changed since then.
